Extension cable for SATA power

This 15-pin male-to-female cable extends a power supply connection to Serial ATA hard drives, solid-state drives, optical drives and PCI cards. The 60-centimetre length helps route power cleanly inside a chassis during builds, upgrades or repairs. A braided sleeve and included self-adhesive tape assist with cable management. The product is new and supplied as a single piece.

15-pin SATA male-to-female connectors

The cable carries 3.3 V, 5 V and 12 V lines between the power supply and the drive without voltage degradation. Conductors are 18 AWG tin-coated copper specified to the 1007 standard. Only devices with a native SATA power port are supported; connecting to other port types can damage components. The cable does not add extra connectors or split the output.

Thermals noise and power draw

As a passive copper cable it generates no audible noise and adds negligible heat to the system. Power draw is determined entirely by the attached drive and the supply's capacity.
