Purpose and Audience

The WRIARICH OZV8 extracts audio from an HDMI source and delivers it through separate optical and analogue outputs while passing the video signal onward. It suits installers who need to feed a soundbar, amplifier or headphones without relying on a display’s own audio sockets.

Sustained Operation

The unit handles continuous 4K@60Hz throughput at 18Gbps bandwidth and supports deep colour up to 36bit without signal degradation. A 5V/1A power adapter is included so the extractor maintains stable performance during extended viewing or gaming sessions.

Build and Connectivity

The black enclosure measures 5.59 x 3.15 x 1.26 inches and weighs 3.2 ounces, making it easy to tuck behind equipment. One HDMI input, one HDMI output, one SPDIF port and one 3.5mm jack provide the necessary connections for stereo or 5.1-channel audio routing.

Questions about this item

Does the WRIARICH OZV8 run hot or make noise when left on all day?

The unit has no fan and draws power from the included 5V/1A adapter, so it stays cool and silent during continuous use.

What cables or devices must I already own to use the HDMI audio extractor?

You need an HDMI source such as a PS3, Xbox or Fire Stick, a display with an HDMI input, and either an optical cable for SPDIF or a 3.5 mm cable for analog audio.

Will the extractor pass 4K@60 Hz video to my older 1080p monitor without downscaling the source?

The extractor supports 4K@60 Hz pass-through and EDID settings for Pass, 2CH or 5.1CH audio; it does not downscale video, so a 1080p display will only show 1080p if the source matches that resolution.
