This flat-ribbon cable connects a Corsair HX Platinum modular PSU to a graphics card with an 8-pin, 6-pin or 6+2-pin socket. PSU-side 8-pin header must match Corsair Type 4 HX

The cable only works with Corsair HX750 Platinum, HX850 Platinum, HX1000 Platinum and HX1200 Platinum units that use the Type 4 pin-out. Mixing it with other Corsair series or any other brand will cause damage. One pin on the PSU connector is intentionally absent; this is the factory default layout, not a defect. Buyers who own RM, AX, SF or non-Platinum HX units cannot use this cable.

Slide-on 2-pin section converts 8-pin to 6-pin

The GPU end carries a detachable 2-pin block that slides off to leave a 6-pin plug, so the same lead fits cards with either socket. Flat ribbon construction makes tight folds easier than round sleeving, aiding cable management behind the motherboard tray. The missing PSU-side pin confuses some installers; verify the header layout against the original cable before powering on.
