Dual Band Antenna for ASUS Rog Strix

This antenna connects to compatible ASUS Rog Strix motherboards using an SMA interface. It supports dual band operation across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. The design targets builders who need a replacement or upgrade for the original wireless module on Z270, Z370, X370 or Z390 boards.

2.4 and 5 GHz coverage with 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac

The omni directional pattern provides broad signal reception in typical desktop orientations. Supported standards include 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n and 802.11ac for backward and current compatibility. Throughput will fall off at longer range or through dense walls where the fixed gain cannot compensate.

SMA connector fit for 2T2R motherboard headers

The connector type is SMA and must match the motherboard antenna ports exactly. Buyers should verify the physical port layout on their specific board before purchase. This item does not suit motherboards that use a different antenna connector or lack dual band 2T2R headers.

Questions about this item

Will the SMA connector on this antenna fit the Wi-Fi card I already have on my Z270 motherboard?

The antenna uses an SMA connector, which matches the 2T2R dual-band Wi-Fi module found on ASUS ROG Strix Z270, Z370, X370 and Z390 boards.

How can I verify the antenna is operating on both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands after I attach it?

Your router or OS network panel will show active links on 802.11a, 802.11n and 802.11ac, confirming dual-band 2.4/5 GHz operation.

Does the package include both antennas needed for the 2T2R setup or just one?

The listing states the package includes 1 PC, so only a single antenna is supplied; a second unit would be required for full 2T2R diversity.
