Three-pack SATA III cables for storage upgrades

This three-pack of SATA III cables connects motherboards and host controllers to internal Serial ATA hard drives, SSDs and optical drives. Each cable measures 18 inches and supports the 6 Gbps Revision 3.0 standard while remaining backward compatible with earlier SATA versions. The right-angle connectors and locking latches keep connections secure inside the case.

Builders adding multiple drives or configuring RAID

The pack suits anyone fitting several 2.5 or 3.5 inch drives, optical drives or a RAID controller host card where spare cables are useful. The low-profile jacket and 90 degree ends help routing in tighter chassis. Buyers who need powered eSATA connections or longer runs for external enclosures should look at something else.

Locking latches and right-angle plugs for reliable

Stainless-steel locking clips on both ends prevent accidental disconnection during drive swaps or case moves. The 90 degree orientation reduces strain on motherboard ports and eases cable management behind drive cages. No software or drivers are required; the cables are plug-and-play data links only.

Questions about this item

Does the 90° right-angle connector need a special motherboard header?

No, it plugs into any standard 7-pin SATA port on the motherboard or host controller.

Will the 6 Gbps cable slow down my older SATA II hard drive?

The cable is backwards compatible with SATA I and II, so the drive runs at its own rated speed.

How can I verify the 3.0 revision is active after connecting an SSD?

Check the negotiated link speed in BIOS or OS disk utilities; it should show 6 Gbps when the drive supports it.
