Access Control Reader

The ZKTECO KR101E and KR101M are Wiegand proximity readers designed for door access control systems. They support both 125 kHz ID and 13.56 MHz Mifare IC cards for versatile credential management. The units feature an IP65 waterproof rating and an operating temperature range of -10 °C to 70 °C for reliable outdoor installation. Built-in dual-colour LEDs and a buzzer provide immediate visual and audible access feedback.

Wiegand Integration

The readers output standard 26-bit or 34-bit Wiegand signals over a communication distance of up to 100 metres. They operate on a DC 5 V to 16 V supply with a standard 12 V input and include reverse polarity protection. The compact 78 mm by 43 mm by 16 mm ABS and PVC housing mounts easily on metal door frames or mullions. External LED and buzzer control lines allow the host controller to drive the indicators directly.

Upgrade From Standalone Keypads

This reader replaces basic keypads or single-technology proximity units by adding dual-frequency card support and a rugged IP65 enclosure. The jump is worthwhile when a site requires both ID and Mifare credentials on the same door or when the installation is exposed to weather. It is not suited for installations that need long-range hands-free reading beyond 15 cm or for systems that do not accept a Wiegand interface.
