Ready-to-play gaming desktop

The ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White is a pre-built system aimed at enthusiasts who want high-frame-rate 1440p or 4K gaming without assembling parts. It ships with Windows 11 Home installed and tested so it is ready to use immediately. The 16-core Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor and RTX 5070 graphics card target competitive and immersive titles alike. Builders who prefer to choose every component themselves will not need this configuration.

Storage capacity and headroom

A 2TB NVMe SSD provides fast boot and game-load speeds while a 2TB SATA III HDD adds bulk space for media and backups. Together they give 4TB of total capacity with room for large modern libraries. The four DDR5 slots are fully populated with 128GB, so memory expansion requires replacing modules rather than adding them. Users who anticipate needing more than 4TB of fast storage will need external or replacement drives.

Bundled cooling and power

A 360mm liquid cooler handles the 16-core CPU thermal load so the processor can sustain its 4.7GHz base frequency under heavy workloads. The included 850W power supply delivers headroom for the RTX 5070 and the rest of the platform without requiring a separate purchase. WiFi and RGB lighting are integrated for connectivity and aesthetics. Buyers who want a different cooling aesthetic or a higher-wattage PSU for future GPU upgrades will need to replace those parts.

Questions about this item

Will my existing SATA SSDs work alongside the 2TB NVMe and 2TB HDD already installed?

Yes, the board provides SATA III ports so your current SATA drives can be added without removing the factory NVMe or HDD.

How can I confirm the 360mm liquid cooler is keeping the Ryzen 7 9800X3D at its 4.7GHz base frequency under load?

Open the pre-installed ASUS monitoring software or BIOS hardware monitor and verify the CPU package temperature stays within spec while running a sustained workload.

Does the 850W power supply include the PCIe cables needed for the RTX 5070, or must I buy them separately?

The 850W unit ships with the required PCIe power connectors for the RTX 5070 already attached; no extra cables are needed.
