White chassis with liquid cooling

The ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White is a new gaming desktop PC built around an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D 16-core processor running at 4.3GHz and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card with 12GB GDDR7 memory. It ships with 64GB DDR5 RAM, a 1TB NVMe SSD plus a 2TB SATA III HDD, an 850W power supply, Windows 11 Home and a 360mm liquid cooler inside a WiFi and RGB equipped chassis.

Sustained load with 360mm liquid cooler

The 360mm liquid cooler is designed to dissipate heat from the 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X3D during extended gaming or rendering sessions, helping the CPU maintain its 4.3GHz base frequency without thermal throttling. The RTX 5070 with 12GB GDDR7 delivers stable frame rates in VR-ready titles, while the 850W power supply provides consistent delivery to both the processor and graphics card under continuous heavy workloads.

Storage limits of NVMe and SATA III

The 1TB NVMe SSD handles operating system and active game libraries at solid-state speeds, while the 2TB SATA III HDD adds bulk capacity for media and archives at mechanical drive throughput. Four DDR5 slots are populated with 64GB total, leaving no free slots for memory expansion without replacing modules. Builders who need more than 1TB of NVMe space or additional SATA drives would require a different platform.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the 360mm liquid cooler keep the Ryzen 9 9950X3D during all-day loads?

The 360mm liquid cooler is designed to handle the 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X3D at its 4.3GHz base frequency, maintaining lower temperatures and quieter operation than air coolers under sustained workloads.

Do I need to buy a monitor, keyboard and mouse separately for this system to work?

Yes, the ROG Strix Helios GX601 is a tower-only desktop; you must provide your own display, keyboard and mouse to use it.

Can I keep my older SATA III hard drives and plug them into this PC?

The motherboard includes SATA III ports, so existing 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA drives connect directly and work alongside the installed 1TB NVMe SSD and 2TB HDD.
