ROG Strix Helios GX601 White desktop

This ASUS gaming desktop pairs a Ryzen 9 9950X3D 16-core processor at 4.3GHz with a Dhahab GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card carrying 16GB GDDR7 memory. The system includes 128GB DDR5 RAM across four slots, a 4TB NVMe SSD and a 2TB SATA III hard drive. A 360mm liquid cooler and 1000W power supply support sustained loads, while Windows 11 Home and WiFi come pre-installed.

Upgrading from mid-range or older flagship rigs

Builders moving up from 8-core CPUs or previous-generation GPUs gain 16 cores and the RTX 5080 architecture for 4K gaming and heavy multitasking. The jump is worth it when workloads demand high thread counts and large frame buffers simultaneously. The 4TB NVMe plus 2TB HDD combination removes storage bottlenecks that slower drives create in content pipelines.

Fits a high-end AM5 build with liquid cooling

The AM5 socket motherboard supports the installed Ryzen 9 9000 Series processor and four DDR5 modules, leaving no spare memory slots for expansion. The 360mm liquid cooler occupies significant case space, so chassis clearance must accommodate its radiator. The 1000W unit powers the GPU and CPU together, while the PCI Express x16 slot is filled by the RTX 5080, blocking additional full-length cards.

Questions about this item

Will the 360mm liquid cooler fit inside the ROG Strix Helios GX601 case?

The system ships with the 360mm liquid cooler already installed in the ROG Strix Helios GX601 chassis, so no additional clearance checks are required.

What is the correct orientation for the 360mm liquid cooler radiator during installation?

Mount the radiator with tubes at the bottom or side to keep air bubbles away from the pump; the factory build follows this orientation.

When should the 360mm liquid cooler coolant be checked or replaced?

Coolant in a sealed 360mm loop typically remains effective for several years; inspect if pump noise increases or temperatures rise unexpectedly.
