Ryzen 9 9950X 16-core desktop

This new ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White system pairs a 4.3GHz AMD Ryzen 9 9950X 16-core processor with a Dhahab GeForce RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 graphics card. It includes 128GB DDR5 memory, a 4TB NVMe SSD and a 2TB SATA III HDD. A 360mm liquid cooler and 1000W power supply complete the build.

Enthusiasts wanting maximum cores

The 16-core CPU and RTX 5080 suit 4K gaming, heavy multitasking and content creation workflows. Buyers who need more than 128GB RAM or multiple GPUs should look elsewhere. The single AM5 socket and four occupied memory slots prevent further CPU or memory upgrades.

AM5 socket limits CPU choice to Ryzen 9000 Series

The motherboard uses an AM5 socket that only accepts AMD Ryzen 9000 Series processors. The installed Ryzen 9 9950X already occupies the sole CPU slot, so no processor change is possible without a motherboard swap.

Questions about this item

Does the ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White come with Windows 11 already installed or do I need to buy a licence separately?

Windows 11 Home is pre-installed and activated, so no separate licence purchase is required.

All four memory slots are filled with the 128GB DDR5 — can I add more later without removing modules?

The four slots are fully occupied at 128GB, so any future upgrade means replacing existing modules rather than adding.

With the Ryzen 9 9950X at 4.3GHz and the RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7, what frame rates can I expect in 4K gaming?

The 16-core CPU and RTX 5080 combination is built for high-refresh 4K play, but exact frame rates depend on each title's settings and optimisation.
