Dual-band Wi-Fi 7 router delivers up to 5000 Mbps with 2.5G WAN and LAN ports, four external plus one internal antenna, AiMesh support, and AiProtection security
Version RT-BE59
Wireless Speed Dual Band WiFi 7
The ASUS RT-BE59 is a dual-band Wi-Fi 7 router built for homes that want the latest 802.11be standard without moving to tri-band hardware. It suits families and remote workers who need modern throughput on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.
A single 2.5G WAN port connects to multi-gig fibre or cable modems, while one 2.5G LAN and three Gigabit LAN ports feed wired devices such as PCs, NAS units or consoles. AiMesh node mode lets compatible ASUS routers extend coverage without extra cabling.
The BE5000 rating delivers up to 5.0 Gbps aggregate wireless speed using OFDMA and 4096-QAM modulation across the two bands. It handles 4K streaming, gaming and video calls comfortably, but lacks a 6 GHz radio so devices that require the 6 GHz spectrum cannot benefit.

Other versions of this model
The single 2.5G WAN port caps incoming internet traffic at 2.5 Gbps, so any plan above that speed cannot be fully utilised.
The 12 V, 2 A power supply allows up to 24 W draw; with four external antennas and passive cooling, it runs warm but stays within typical desktop-router thermal limits.
Any AiMesh-compatible ASUS router can be paired; the RT-BE59 supports AiMesh node mode for seamless whole-home coverage.
