AUBEAMTO DisplayPort to HDMI and DisplayPort splitter, compact black box with three ports

AUBEAMTO

AUBEAMTO DisplayPort HDMI Splitter 8K MST SST 1In 2Out DP 1.4 8K@30Hz 4K@120Hz

SKU CH-YER2-DXGEG

Splits one DisplayPort 1.4 source into HDMI and DisplayPort outputs with simultaneous or independent 8K 30 Hz and 4K 120 Hz modes

  • Connect two monitors without switching cables
  • Display identical content on both screens in SST mode
  • Extend your desktop across two displays in MST mode
  • Output up to 8K at 30 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz
  • Works with DisplayPort 1.0 through 1.4 sources

One input to two simultaneous displays

This DisplayPort 1.4 splitter takes a single DP source and drives one HDMI 2.1 monitor and one DisplayPort monitor at the same time. It supports both SST mirror mode and MST extended-desktop mode without manual switching. Mac OS systems are limited to SST mirroring only.

Sustained multi-monitor output

The adapter maintains 8K at 30 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz on a single active output, with 1440p available up to 165 Hz and 1080p up to 240 Hz. Actual refresh rates depend on the graphics card, monitor, cables and operating system. MST mode requires the host to be set to extend and windows dragged to the secondary screen.

Upgrades single-output DP ports

Users with a lone DisplayPort output who need two independent screens gain MST extended mode on Windows and Linux, while teachers or home-theatre setups gain plug-and-play SST mirroring. Mac users cannot use MST, so the extended-desktop benefit does not apply. No external power supply is mentioned in the specifications.

Questions about this item

Does the splitter generate noticeable heat or fan noise when driving two displays at 4K 120 Hz all day?

The unit is a passive directional converter with no active cooling, so it runs silently and produces minimal heat during continuous operation.

What cables and host port do I need before this splitter will work?

You need a DisplayPort 1.4 source port, one DP cable and one HDMI 2.1 cable rated for the resolutions you want.

Will MST extended-desktop mode work if I keep one monitor on an older DP 1.2 input?

MST requires DP 1.2 or newer on both displays; a DP 1.2 monitor will extend, but macOS only supports SST mirroring regardless of version.
