Product identity

The Audiovox zFace1701 is a facial-recognition access-control terminal with a 7-inch touch screen. It targets offices, warehouses and campuses that need contactless entry and time-attendance logging for up to ten thousand users.

Deciding specification

The unit stores ten thousand face templates and ten thousand IC cards, plus three hundred thousand event records. If your site requires more enrolled faces or a larger audit trail, this model will not cover the load.

Installation notes

Power and network connect through standard TCP/IP wiring; an optional Wi-Fi module can replace the cable run. The IP65 rating lets the housing sit outdoors, but the visible-light camera needs consistent front lighting — deep shadow or direct glare will increase false rejects.

Questions about this item

How many people can the 10000 face capacity actually recognise in daily use?

The terminal stores up to 10000 facial templates and 10000 IC cards, so every enrolled user can be verified at the door without deleting older records.

What does the TCP/IP link limit when the unit is on the network?

TCP/IP handles all door control, attendance logs and intercom traffic; the 300000 record buffer keeps events locally if the LAN goes down.

Will the IP65 rating let me mount the 7-inch unit outside without a canopy?

Yes, IP65 protects the 7-inch touch screen and camera from dust and water jets, so outdoor wall mounting is supported.
