Control up to eight Ultimatte 12 units

The Blackmagic Design Ultimatte Smart Remote 4 is a hardware control panel built for live video production. It connects over Ethernet and lets a single operator manage up to eight Ultimatte 12 processors from one interface, removing the need for a separate video router or hub in many workflows.

Suited for desktop or rackmount studios needing

This remote suits studios that run multiple Ultimatte 12 units and want tactile knobs, a 10.1" 1280x800 touchscreen and dedicated on-line/on-air buttons for fast switching. It is not for operators who need direct SDI or HDMI video connections on the control surface itself, nor for setups that rely on a single Ultimatte without networked daisy-chaining.

Verify Ethernet infrastructure

Before ordering, confirm your network provides the Ethernet ports required for daisy-chaining up to eight Ultimatte 12 units to the remote. Check that any host computer used for software updates or custom protocol development has available USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 ports matching the remote’s two USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 connections.
