HDMI to DisplayPort Adapter 4K 60Hz

This active adapter converts an HDMI 2.0 source signal to a DisplayPort 1.2 display input. It supports resolutions up to 3840x2160 at 60Hz and 1080p at 120Hz. The unit is designed for laptops, desktops, PS5, and Xbox consoles. A Micro USB power port is required for operation.

Sustained signal conversion stability

The active circuitry maintains a stable link during extended gaming or video sessions without driver installation. HDCP 2.2 compliance ensures protected 4K content passes correctly. The converter handles backward compatible modes such as 1440p at 60Hz without signal drop or audio sync issues. External power via Micro USB prevents instability under continuous load.

Replaces passive cables or wrong-direction dongles

This unit solves the common mismatch when a source only offers HDMI but the monitor requires DisplayPort. It is not a bi-directional cable and cannot carry a DisplayPort source to an HDMI screen. The adapter is also incompatible with Nintendo Switch. Buyers needing HDMI input on a DisplayPort source should choose a different product.

Questions about this item

Does the adapter draw enough power from the HDMI port alone or must the micro USB port be connected?

The micro USB power port should be plugged in for the best display performance; the HDMI port alone may not supply sufficient power for stable 4K 60 Hz operation.

What source device and display connections are required to use this converter?

You need a source with an HDMI 2.0 output such as a laptop, desktop, PS5 or Xbox Series X and a display with a DisplayPort 1.2 input; the adapter is male HDMI to female DisplayPort and works in one direction only.

Will a 1440p 60 Hz or 1080p 120 Hz monitor work with this adapter?

Yes, the converter is backward compatible with 1440p at 60 Hz and 1080p at 120 Hz, so older monitors running those resolutions and refresh rates are supported.
