This BYTECC splitter cable takes one DisplayPort source and duplicates the signal to two DisplayPort displays. It is intended for users who want the same 1080p image on two screens of identical physical size, such as a pair of matching monitors or televisions. It does not extend the desktop and it will not work with MacBook or HDCP-protected sources like streaming boxes.

Installation notes

The 30 cm cable connects directly without drivers; power on the source, then the first display, then the second. If the picture is not clear, unplug one display rather than just turning it off, or swap the ports and power the second display first. The adapter only mirrors and only activates both outputs when the connected screens share the exact same diagonal measurement.

Practical limits of the interface

Mirroring is restricted to 720p, 1080i and 1080p resolutions. Both outputs work simultaneously only with identically sized panels — a 43 inch and a 55 inch pair will not display together even at the same resolution. HDCP content and MacBook sources are not supported, and the cable cannot function as a switcher or extender.
