ESTONE OZQD DisplayPort 1.4 Bi-Directional Switch

This DisplayPort 1.4 switch connects two sources to one display or one source to two displays. It handles 8K at 30 Hz, 4K at 120 Hz and 1080p at 240 Hz. The bi-directional design suits users who need flexible signal routing between computers and monitors. Audio and video pass through together with a single button press.

Bandwidth ceiling and simultaneous output limit

The 32.4 Gbps bandwidth caps 8K output at 30 Hz, while 4K reaches 120 Hz and 1080p reaches 240 Hz. Only one display can be active at a time; the second connected monitor stays dark. Backward compatibility covers DisplayPort 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 and 1.4, but both cables and devices must support the target resolution.

Resolution headroom and cable dependency

The switch comfortably drives 4K at high refresh rates and 1080p at 240 Hz for competitive gaming. Achieving 8K at 30 Hz requires a certified DisplayPort 1.4 cable on both input and output sides. Without 8K-rated cables or source hardware that outputs 8K, the maximum resolution falls back to 4K or lower.

Questions about this item

One input to two outputs or two inputs to one output — which mode should I pick?

The switch is bi-directional: use 1-in/2-out to toggle one source between two displays, or 2-in/1-out to switch two sources on one display. Only one path is active at a time.

What does 32.4 Gbps bandwidth deliver on my monitor?

It carries the full DisplayPort 1.4 link rate, enabling 8K at 30 Hz, 4K at 120 Hz or 1080p at 240 Hz, provided your source, cable and display all support the target mode.

Does the DisplayPort 1.4 interface limit HDR or colour depth at 8K?

DP 1.4 caps at 32.4 Gbps, so 8K 30 Hz is limited to 4:2:0 chroma or DSC compression; 4K 120 Hz can run 4:4:4 8-bit or 10-bit with DSC, but uncompressed 10-bit 4:4:4 exceeds the link.
