Slim Cat6a for dense racks

This 7 ft Cat6a patch cable uses a 4.0 mm jacket and 28 AWG conductors to fit tight spaces in patch panels, server racks and data center cabinets. The white UTP design carries 10GBASE-T signals up to 100 m at 500 MHz while remaining backward compatible with Cat6 and Cat5e networks. Gold-plated RJ45 contacts and a transparent snagless boot protect the locking clip during frequent re-patching.

10GBASE-T headroom and limits

Rated for 500 MHz bandwidth, the cable handles 10 Gigabit Ethernet across the full 100 m channel length defined by the Cat6a standard. The slim 28 AWG construction keeps crosstalk low for reliable throughput, but the thinner gauge increases insertion loss compared with standard 6.9 mm Cat6a, so maximum reach may be reduced in marginal links or when multiple patch cords are cascaded.

High-density build integration

The 4.0 mm diameter lets more cables occupy each rack unit, improving airflow around switches and servers while keeping bend radii manageable behind dense panels. Snagless boots speed moves, adds and changes without catching on adjacent cords. The cable works with standard RJ45 ports on switches, routers, keystone jacks, PoE devices, servers and NAS gear, and carries UL E305668 and ETL verification for code compliance.
