The Cable Leader 6in Cat6a Ethernet Cable is a 10 Gigabit LAN patch cable built to the Cat6a standard for desktop, console and office networks. It uses 24AWG stranded bare copper conductors in four twisted pairs around a cross-shaped spline with a 6.9mm outer diameter. The 6in purple length keeps console or desk setups tidy without excess slack.

Gold-plated contacts and snagless boots

Each end terminates in an 8P8C RJ45 connector with 50-micron gold-plated contacts for reliable signal integrity. A molded PVC boot protects the locking clip and resists tangling during routing and repeated insertion. The unshielded UTP construction drops straight into existing Cat6 and Cat5e infrastructure with no equipment changes.

100-metre 10GBASE-T channel limit

The cable supports 10GBASE-T at 500MHz on the Cat6a standard for channel lengths up to 100 metres, making the 6in patch lead suitable for short equipment-to-panel or device-to-switch links. Backward compatibility covers Cat6 and Cat5e segments, but the 10 Gigabit rate requires every link component and the full channel to meet Cat6a specifications.
