A 14 AWG heavy-duty cord linking NEMA 6-20P plugs to C13 inlets for 15 A, 250 V server and PDU connections
This 14 AWG cord carries 15 amps at 250 volts between a NEMA 6-20P plug and an IEC C13 socket. The three-foot length suits server racks, PDUs and UPS units in data-centre and laboratory environments. UL and CUL certifications confirm compliance with CSA safety standards. RoHS construction avoids restricted substances.
The 14 AWG conductors limit resistive heating during continuous 15-amp loads typical of rack-mounted servers and network gear. No active cooling is required because the cord operates passively within its rated capacity. Voltage drop over the short run remains negligible for 250-volt distribution circuits.
Moulded strain relief on both ends resists fatigue from rack vibration and routine cable-management adjustments. The locking-profile C13 connector prevents accidental disconnection during equipment maintenance. Three-foot reach keeps cable trays tidy without excess slack that snags on sliding rails. Not suited for 125-volt NEMA 5-15 or 5-20 outlets or for C15, C19 or higher-current inlets.

Insert the 6-20P fully into the matching PDU receptacle until the blades seat firmly, then connect the C13 end to the device. The step often missed is verifying the outlet is rated for 250V and 15A before plugging in.
Inspect the jacket and connectors periodically for cracks, discolouration, or loose pins. Replace the cord if the insulation is damaged, the blades are bent, or the C13 latch no longer clicks securely.
The 14 AWG conductors will warm up first; sustained 15 A at 250 V brings the cable to its rated thermal limit, so ensure adequate airflow and do not exceed the 15 A / 250 V rating.
