Rugged 14" laptop for field work

The Dell Latitude 5420 Rugged is a 14.0 inch FHD touchscreen notebook built to withstand harsh environments. It runs on an Intel Core i7-8650U processor with four cores and a 4.20 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 32GB of memory and a 512GB SSD, shipping with Windows 11 Pro for business use.

Suits mobile professionals needing durability

This unit fits first responders, field engineers and outdoor workers who require a sealed chassis, optional LTE access and glove-capable touch input. Buyers who want a thin ultrabook for office-only travel or a high-refresh gaming panel should look at something else.

Check dock and peripheral needs first

Verify that your existing monitors connect via HDMI or the optional DisplayPort, and confirm whether you need the optional RJ-45 gigabit Ethernet or serial ports for legacy gear. The removable PCIe storage bay and SD card slot simplify field data transfers, while USB 3.0 Type A and Type C ports cover most modern accessories.
