Built for daily workloads

The Latitude 5590 is a 14.0 inch business laptop powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor. It ships with 16 GB DDR4 memory and a dual-drive layout combining a 512 GB M.2 SSD with a 2 TB secondary SSD. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed. The IPS panel delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution without touch input.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Office users and mobile professionals needing generous local storage for large file sets will appreciate the combined 2.5 TB capacity. The quad-core CPU and 16 GB RAM handle multitasking across productivity apps and browser tabs. Buyers who want a dedicated graphics card for rendering or gaming should consider other models. Those requiring a touchscreen or a lighter ultrabook under three pounds will not find that here.

Installation notes and common issues

The chassis uses standard screws for bottom-cover removal, giving straightforward access to the M.2 slot, 2.5 inch bay and two SODIMM sockets. A Torx T5 driver is typically needed for the hinge screws. Some units ship with the secondary drive caddy missing, so verify the bracket is present before ordering a replacement drive. BIOS updates occasionally reset the boot order; check the sequence after flashing.
