Built for mobile professionals

This Dell Latitude 7480 delivers a 6th generation Core i7-6600U at 2.6 GHz, 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 256GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD inside a 14.0" Full HD non-touch chassis. Windows 10 Home is pre-installed with a Windows 11 Pro upgrade path available. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 handles everyday visual tasks.

Suits travellers needing Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI

The single Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port and HDMI output support external displays and docks for desk-to-meeting transitions. Buyers who want a touchscreen, discrete graphics or more internal storage should look at other configurations. Grade B LCD and worn-key cosmetic wear are noted by the supplier.

32GB soldered DDR4 decides upgrade limits

Memory is not user-replaceable, so the 32GB capacity is fixed for the life of the device. The 256GB NVMe SSD can be swapped for a larger M.2 drive if more local space is required. All other specifications follow from this memory constraint.

Questions about this item

How loud does the fan get when the Core i7-6600U runs at 2.6 GHz all day?

The dual-core processor is a low-power design, so the fan stays quiet during typical office workloads and only spins up briefly under sustained heavy load.

Do I need to supply my own DDR4 memory or NVMe drive for the 32 GB and 256 GB to work?

No, the laptop ships with 32 GB of DDR4 and a 256 GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD already installed, so it is ready to use immediately.

Will my older USB 3.0 peripherals and HDMI monitor work with the Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI ports?

Yes, the single Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port and the full-size HDMI port both support legacy USB 3.0 devices and standard HDMI displays without adapters.
