Professional mobile workstation

The Dell Latitude 7480 is a 14-inch business laptop built for professionals who need a durable and portable Windows 11 Pro machine. It combines a 6th generation Intel Core i7-6600U processor with 8GB of DDR4 memory and a 256GB SATA M.2 SSD. The 1920 x 1080 FHD non-touch display provides clear visuals for documents and presentations. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 handles standard office workloads and video playback.

Suited for travel and office docking

This configuration suits mobile workers who rely on Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI to connect external monitors or projectors at client sites or hot desks. The three USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, and 802.11ac Wi-Fi with Bluetooth 4.2 cover most peripheral and network needs. Buyers who need a dedicated GPU for creative rendering, gaming, or CAD should look elsewhere. Users requiring more than 8GB of memory or a larger internal drive will need a different specification.

Dual-core 2.6GHz processor determines throughput

The Intel Core i7-6600U is a dual-core Skylake CPU with 4MB L2 cache and a base frequency of 2.6GHz. This single component sets the performance ceiling for every application running on the system. Multi-threaded workloads such as video encoding, heavy compilation, or virtualisation will be limited by the two physical cores. If your daily tasks demand higher sustained multi-core speed, this processor is the constraint that makes the Latitude 7480 the wrong choice.
