Rugged 14-inch touch laptop for field work

The Dell Latitude Rugged 5420 is a 14.0-inch FHD touch laptop built for outdoor and industrial use. It runs on an Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor with a 3.60 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 8GB of memory and a 1TB SSD. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed for business environments.

Simple deployment with modular port options

The chassis uses a standard clamshell design that fits existing rugged docks and mounts. A removable PCIe storage bay allows quick drive swaps without tools. Optional modules include a second serial port, VGA, DisplayPort or Fischer USB connector. An integrated stylus option supports gloved operation on the touchscreen.

Verify power and connectivity needs first

Confirm your AC adapter matches the Power In port specification before ordering. Check whether your workflow requires the optional RJ-45 gigabit Ethernet or native serial port for legacy equipment. Ensure any vehicle mount or docking station aligns with the 347 mm width and 244.5 mm depth. LTE priority access depends on FirstNet Ready carrier support.
