Built for field work

The Dell Latitude Rugged 5424 is a 14.0-inch laptop designed to survive harsh environments. Its chassis uses specialised materials and passes rigorous qualification tests so it keeps running in dust, vibration and temperature extremes. The non-touch FHD panel reaches brightness levels readable in direct sunlight. It suits surveyors, engineers and mobile technicians who cannot baby their hardware.

Ports for legacy and modern gear

The frame carries USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type C connector, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, a serial port and an RJ-45 jack. That mix lets you plug current peripherals and older industrial equipment without adapters. Dual M.2 slots hold a 256 GB drive and a 1 TB drive, giving fast boot space plus room for large project files. Wireless, optional LTE and dedicated GPS keep data flowing in the field.

Cool and quiet on the job

The Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor runs at up to 3.60 GHz with a 6 MB L2 cache while Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles the 1920 x 1080 display. Integrated graphics and the low-power CPU keep thermals manageable inside the sealed rugged shell, so fan noise stays low during typical office and field tasks. The 8 GB DDR4 memory supports smooth multitasking without pushing power draw high.
