Ready-to-work business laptop

The Dell Latitude 5590 ships with Windows 10 Pro installed and 32 GB of DDR4 memory, so it handles typical office workloads and multi-tab browsing without extra configuration. An 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor runs at 1.7 GHz with a 3.6 GHz turbo, providing enough headroom for spreadsheets, email and light creative tasks. A 14.0 inch FHD IPS panel at 1920 x 1080 delivers clear text and wide viewing angles for long sessions.

Dual-drive storage and port mix

A 256 GB M.2 drive holds the operating system and active projects for fast boot and application launch, while a 1 TB secondary SSD stores archives and media without cloud dependence. Connectivity includes three USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports — one with PowerShare for charging phones offline — plus HDMI, VGA, RJ-45, an SD slot and a USB-C port with DisplayPort output for external monitors. Wi-Fi 4 and Bluetooth handle wireless peripherals and network access.

Suited for mobile professionals and students

Buyers who need a durable, configurable notebook with ample RAM and two internal drives will find this configuration practical for travel and desk docking. Users who require a dedicated graphics card for 3D rendering, video editing or modern gaming should look elsewhere, as the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 is limited to basic display output and hardware video decode. The non-touch screen also rules out pen or direct manipulation workflows.

Questions about this item

How do I upgrade the 32GB DDR4 memory later?

The 32GB DDR4 is already the maximum configuration offered for this Latitude 5590, so no further memory upgrade is possible.

Which component hits its limit first during sustained heavy workloads?

The Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor will reach its thermal and power ceiling before the 32GB DDR4 or dual SSD storage become bottlenecks.

How loud and hot does the laptop get when running all day?

The 14.8" x 9.87" chassis with 4.19 lbs weight houses a single fan cooling the 15W U-series CPU; expect moderate fan noise and warm keyboard deck under continuous load.
