Mobile workstation for CAD and 3D design

A 17.3 inch FHD IPS panel at 1920 x 1080 resolution covers 72 percent colour gamut for accurate visual work. Dual NVMe storage combines a 256 GB drive with a 2 TB drive, and Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

Suited for engineers and creators needing

This configuration serves professionals who rely on ISV-certified Quadro drivers for stable performance in SolidWorks, Revit or similar applications. The Thunderbolt 3 port and HDMI 2.0 output support external displays and high-speed peripherals. Buyers who want a lighter ultrabook for travel, a higher refresh-rate screen for gaming, or a newer processor generation should look elsewhere.

Quadro P3200 with 6 GB GDDR5 decides fit

The professional GPU determines whether this laptop meets the graphics requirements of your CAD, rendering or simulation workflows. Its 6 GB of dedicated memory and certified driver stack are the specification that separates a workstation from a consumer notebook. If your software demands more video memory or a newer architecture, this model will not satisfy those needs.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 256GB and 2TB M.2 SSDs, and what step is often missed?

Insert each drive into an M.2 slot at an angle, press down, and secure with the screw; the step often missed is enabling both drives in the BIOS so the 2TB volume appears in Windows 11 Pro.

Which component will need replacement first under heavy workloads?

The 6GB GDDR5 memory on the Quadro P3200 is soldered and cannot be upgraded; if VRAM becomes a bottleneck, the entire GPU subsystem would require a motherboard swap.

What thermal limit appears first during sustained 4.10 GHz Turbo Boost loads?

The cooling system reaches its dissipation ceiling, causing the i7-8750H to throttle below its maximum turbo frequency to stay within safe temperatures.
