Workstation-class 17.3" laptop

The Dell Precision 7750 is a 17.3 inch mobile workstation built for professionals who need certified application stability. It runs a six-core Intel Core i7-10850H processor with 12 MB cache and a base frequency of 2.6 GHz. The system includes 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 2 TB NVMe M.2 PCIe SSD. Graphics are handled by an NVIDIA Quadro RTX 3000 with 6 GB of GDDR6 video memory. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed.

Thunderbolt 3 and Mini DisplayPort connectivity

Two Thunderbolt 3 Type-C ports and three USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports with PowerShare provide peripheral bandwidth and charging. Video output uses Mini DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 for external monitors. An SD card reader, Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 and 802.11ac wireless with Bluetooth cover data transfer and network needs. The 45 W CPU and dedicated GPU draw power from the included OEM AC adapter. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 handles light tasks when the discrete card is idle.

Upgrade from 15.6" mobile workstations

Buyers moving from a 15.6 inch Precision 7540 or similar chassis gain a larger 17.3 inch FHD panel and the same six-core Comet Lake architecture in a heavier frame. The Quadro RTX 3000 replaces older Pascal-based Quadro cards for hardware-accelerated ray tracing and AI workflows. This jump is worth it when screen real estate and certified driver stacks matter more than portability. It is not for buyers who need a thinner ultrabook or a higher refresh-rate gaming display.

Questions about this item

Will the 45 W Intel Core i7-10850H throttle under sustained heavy workloads?

The six-core 2.6 GHz processor has a 45 W base power rating; sustained loads can push it to thermal limits where clock speeds drop to stay within that envelope.

How loud and hot does the Precision 7750 get when the NVIDIA Quadro RTX 3000 runs all day?

Dual-fan cooling handles the 6 GB GDDR6 GPU and 45 W CPU, but extended rendering raises chassis temperatures and fan noise to audible levels in quiet rooms.

Which dock or adapter do I need to drive two external monitors from the Thunderbolt 3 ports?

Each Thunderbolt 3 Type-C port supports DisplayPort 1.4 alt-mode; a single Thunderbolt 3 dock with dual DisplayPort or HDMI 2.0 outputs will drive two 1920 x 1080 screens.
