Edifier R1280Ts Brown 2.0 Bookshelf Speakers 42W 13mm Tweeter Home Audio Speaker

Edifier R1280Ts Powered Bookshelf Speakers

The Edifier R1280Ts is a pair of 2.0 stereo active near-field monitors finished in brown wood veneer. They deliver 42W RMS of continuous undistorted power through a 4-inch woofer and a 13mm silk dome tweeter. This self-powered system suits desktop listeners, home-office users and casual near-field monitoring without a separate amplifier.

Dual RCA Inputs and Subwoofer Output

Two RCA inputs allow simultaneous connection of two source devices such as a PC and a TV, removing the need to swap cables. A dedicated sub-out port with automatic detection engages a built-in crossover when an external active subwoofer is attached. Side-panel knobs provide direct bass, treble and volume adjustment, while the included remote adds mute and a Soundfield Spatializer function from the listening position.

42W RMS Headroom for Near-Field Use

The 42W RMS rating supplies ample clean level for desktop and small-room listening at typical seating distances. Bass extension is handled by the 4-inch driver, with the option to hand off low frequencies to a connected subwoofer via the line output. The system is not designed for large-room main monitoring or high-SPL applications that demand greater amplifier power or larger driver surface area.
