Mining Riser Card

This PCIe 1X to 16X riser card extends a graphics card away from the motherboard using a 60cm USB 3.0 cable. It is designed for builders assembling Ethereum mining rigs in open air frames or rack mounted configurations.

Power Delivery Build

The board integrates four solid capacitors, voltage regulation diodes, a linear regulator and a surface mounted fuse for overcurrent protection. It provides TWO 6pin and Molex 4pin power interfaces on the PCB, though only one should be connected at a time. Four mounting holes on the 16X side allow the board to be fixed in place for secure cable management.

PCIe Lane Constraint

The adapter fits x1, x4, x8 and x16 PCIe slots but operates at x1 electrical bandwidth through the USB 3.0 link. This limits graphics throughput to a single lane, making it unsuitable for gaming or compute workloads that require full x16 bandwidth. SATA power is not used on this version.
