The EN-Labs 009S kit provides six riser cables that convert a single PCIe x1 slot into a full-length x16 connection for graphics cards. Each unit includes a 60 cm USB 3.0 cable and a powered adapter board fitted with four solid capacitors. The pack is aimed at builders assembling multi-GPU mining rigs or test benches where motherboard slot spacing is limited.

Capacity and headroom

Every adapter accepts one x1, x4, x8 or x16 graphics card and draws auxiliary power through a single Molex, SATA or 6-pin PCIe connector integrated on the board. The four onboard capacitors and voltage-regulation components deliver stable current for typical mining workloads, while the surface-mounted fuse protects against short circuits. Running multiple high-power cards simultaneously will exceed the adapter’s current rating and trip the protection.

USB 3.0 cable limits

The 60 cm USB 3.0 link carries the PCIe signalling between the motherboard and the riser board, so signal integrity depends on cable quality and length. The supplied cable supports the 3.0 data rate but cannot be extended further without risking link errors or reduced bandwidth. Only one of the three power inputs should be connected at any time; plugging two or more together will cause a short.
