Extends a PCIe x1 slot to x16 over a 60 cm USB 3.0 cable with SATA, Molex and 6-pin power options and four solid capacitors
Style 1-Pack
The EN-Labs riser converts a single PCIe lane into a full x16 slot using a 60 cm USB 3.0 cable. It targets builders assembling Ethereum mining rigs, whether open-air frames or rack-mounted systems. Four solid capacitors and onboard voltage regulation with a surface-mounted fuse protect the graphics card from overcurrent events. No drivers are required for operation.
The board integrates Molex 4-pin, SATA and 6-pin PCIe power inputs so only one connection to the power supply is needed. This arrangement moves the GPU power draw off the motherboard and reduces strain on the primary slot. The thin USB 3.0 cable allows flexible placement of cards for better airflow around each GPU. The fixed board includes four mounting holes for secure installation.
Under continuous mining loads the onboard capacitors and voltage regulators maintain stable power delivery across the extended link. The fuse protects the system if a short circuit occurs during prolonged operation. The USB 3.0 connection supports the data rates required for constant hashing without throttling. Builders must use only one power input at a time to avoid damage.

Other versions of this model
Insert the PCIe x1 end into any x1, x4, x8 or x16 slot on the motherboard, then connect only one of the Molex 4-pin, SATA or 6-pin PCIe power inputs on the board; plugging in more than one at the same time is not allowed.
The four solid capacitors are rated for long service life and normally require no scheduled maintenance; if a capacitor ever bulges or leaks, replace the entire riser card.
The 60 cm USB 3.0 cable caps sustained data throughput at the USB 3.0 specification, so bandwidth saturation appears before thermal or power limits on the riser itself.
