What this cable connects

The ESTONE T001A is a 50 ft Toslink digital optical audio cable with male-to-male gold-plated plugs. It links devices that have a S/PDIF optical port — sound bars, TVs, Blu-ray players, game consoles, satellite receivers, DACs and similar gear — to an AV receiver or amplifier for multi-channel surround sound. The braided nylon jacket and slim metal connector housings protect the fiber core during routing.

Signal integrity and durability

High-precision concentrated fiber lens technology focuses the light beam to reduce internal reflection, preserving lossless transmission across the full length. The 24k gold-plated connectors resist corrosion and maintain conductivity over time. A double braided nylon shell shields the fiber from bending stress, while the pop-up plug design aids precise alignment with the optical port for reliable data transfer.

Compatibility notes

This cable carries uncompressed PCM and compressed 5.1, 6.1 and 7.1 surround formats such as Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD, ADAT and LPCM. It does not transmit analog audio, HDMI video or Ethernet data. Buyers who need a shorter run, an angled connector or a cable rated for in-wall installation should look for a different model.

Questions about this item

How do I insert the pop-up plug into a tight S/PDIF port without forcing it?

Align the connector squarely with the port, then press straight in until the pop-up mechanism clicks; the slim 2.2 mm tip seats fully without angling.

Will the gold-plated connectors need cleaning or replacement over time?

The 24 k gold plating resists tarnish and corrosion, so the connectors maintain conductivity without periodic cleaning or replacement.

What length limit affects signal integrity on a 50 ft run?

At 50 ft the cable stays within the short-range design window for lossless PCM and 5.1 to 7.1 surround formats.
