16 ft Toslink Cable for Home Audio

The ESTONE T001A is a 16 ft Toslink digital optical audio cable built for multi-channel surround sound. It connects devices with S/PDIF ports such as sound bars, TVs, game consoles and Blu-ray players to AV receivers. The 24K gold-plated male-to-male connectors resist corrosion for reliable signal transfer. A double braided nylon jacket protects the fiber core during routing.

Upgrade from Thin or Damaged Optical Leads

This cable replaces fragile stock leads that crack at the plug or suffer from loose fits. The upgrade is worth it when your current cable produces dropouts, red-light misalignment or intermittent surround decoding. The pop-up plug design ensures precise lens alignment for lossless 5.1, 6.1 and 7.1 Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD and LPCM transmission. Heavy-duty alloy shells withstand repeated insertion cycles.

Simple Plug-In with Alignment Care

Installation is a straightforward push into square S/PDIF ports on both ends; no drivers or power are required. The spring-loaded pop-up tip auto-aligns the fiber lens, but forcing the connector at an angle can damage the internal lens. Dust caps should stay on until the moment of connection to keep the polished faces clean. The 2.2 mm and 5.0 mm outer diameters fit standard ports without adapters.

Questions about this item

What length is the cable and what outer diameters does the wire use?

The cable is 16 ft long with an outer diameter of 2.2 mm and 5.0 mm for the wire construction.

How do I insert the connectors correctly, and what step do people often miss?

Align the male Toslink plug with the S/PDIF port on each device and push straight in until the pop-up mechanism seats fully; the common mistake is not pushing far enough to lock the connector.

What parts of the cable might need attention over time, and how are they protected?

The 24k gold-plated connectors resist corrosion and tarnish, while the double braided nylon shell shields the fiber core from physical wear during repeated use.
