  • PCI-E 4.0 M.2 M-key to Oculink SFF-8611 and SFF-8612 host adapter

Compatibility: 2022-2023 ThinkBook 14+ only

This Fervit adapter connects a single M.2 M-key slot to an Oculink SFF-8612 interface. It is built specifically for the 2022 and 2023 ThinkBook 14+ laptop. The card transmits PCIe 4.0 x4 signals using the NVMe protocol. It enables the attachment of one external graphics card or SSD via an optional cable and power source.

Who this suits and who it does not

Owners of a 2022 or 2023 ThinkBook 14+ who want to add an external GPU or NVMe storage can use this adapter. It will not function with the 16+ model or any other laptop. Builders needing multiple device connections or a different host connector should look at other solutions.

The decisive specification

The adapter converts the internal M.2 M-key slot into a single SFF-8612 Oculink port running PCIe 4.0 x4. This exact interface match is the only factor that determines whether the part works in the target laptop.
