Solar post lights for 4×4 posts

The Home Zone Security ELI1403V two-pack fits standard four-by-four wood posts and delivers warm white illumination without wiring. Bronze-finished glass housings add a decorative accent to deck or porch posts while the integrated solar panels charge during daylight hours.

Thermals noise and power draw

Solar charging keeps the 1.2 V system running without external power or batteries, so there is no heat build-up or fan noise to manage. The dusk-to-dawn sensor activates the LEDs only after dark, limiting energy use to night-time operation and keeping the posts cool to the touch.

3.5 inch post fit

Each cap measures 3.5 inches square and is intended for 4×4 posts; the kit includes mounting screws for a quick installation. Buyers with metal, vinyl or oversized posts will need a different mounting solution because the hardware and dimensions are specific to wood four-by-fours.

Questions about this item

How do I install the ELI1403V post lights on my 4x4 posts, and what step is often missed?

Switch the light on before mounting, then secure with the included screws; the step people miss is turning the switch on so the dusk-to-dawn sensor can activate at night.

What maintenance or replacement will the ELI1403V need over time?

The integrated solar panel and LED are not user-replaceable; keep the panel clean of debris and expect the whole unit to be replaced when light output fades after several seasons.

What limit appears first on the ELI1403V during extended nightly use?

The 1.2 V solar-charged battery capacity limits runtime; after a full day's charge the 12-lumen output will gradually dim as the stored energy depletes before dawn.
