HP EliteBook 840G1 14-inch laptop

This HP EliteBook 840G1 is a 14-inch business laptop running Windows 10 Professional 64-bit. It operates on a 1.60 GHz Intel Core i5 dual-core 4th Generation processor with 8GB of installed DDR3 memory. A 128GB solid-state drive provides the system storage. The non-touch display measures 14.0 inches diagonally and the chassis includes a 720p webcam.

Mobile professionals needing a managed Windows 10

The 8GB of memory and 128GB SSD suit standard office applications, web browsing and remote desktop sessions. Buyers who need larger local storage for media libraries or project files should consider other options. The single USB port listed limits peripheral connectivity without a dock or hub. Systems requiring a dedicated graphics processor for rendering or CAD work are not addressed by the integrated graphics.

128GB SSD capacity

The 128GB solid-state drive is the primary storage constraint; it determines how many applications and working files reside on the device. Only 16GB of total memory can be installed across the two DDR3 slots, so the 8GB shipped cannot be expanded beyond that ceiling. Wireless connectivity uses 802.11a/b/g and the machine includes an AC adapter.
