Versatile 2-in-1 for mobile professionals

The HP EliteBook x360 1040 G5 G6 is a 13.3 inch convertible notebook with a 360 degree hinge. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor with 8 GB of onboard DDR4 RAM and a 256 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD.

Sustained workload behaviour

The i5-8350U operates at a 1.7 GHz base frequency and can reach 3.6 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles visual output. The fanless ultra-slim chassis manages thermals for typical office tasks; prolonged heavy compute loads will throttle clock speeds to stay within thermal limits.

Installation and common issues

Memory is soldered to the board and cannot be upgraded after purchase. The M.2 SSD slot is accessible for storage expansion. Some units ship with a manufacturer warranty that expired in 2022, so buyers should verify current coverage status before relying on it.
