Versatile 2-in-1 for mobile professionals

The HP EliteBook x360 1040 G5 G6 is a 13.3" convertible notebook with a 360-degree hinge that switches between laptop, tent and tablet modes. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor at 1.7 GHz, boosting to 3.6 GHz, with 16 GB of onboard DDR42133 memory and a 256 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD.

Corning Gorilla Glass touchscreen

The FHD IPS panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and supports ten-point touch input for direct manipulation in tablet mode. Two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt enable high-speed data, video output and charging through a single cable, while HDMI, USB 3.1 Gen 1 and a headset jack cover legacy peripherals. Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi handle wireless connectivity.

Ready to work with minimal setup

The device arrives with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed and configured, so first boot reaches the desktop in minutes. Onboard memory and storage are not user-upgradable, limiting future expansion for buyers who want more RAM or a larger drive. The spill-resistant keyboard drains liquid through dedicated channels, reducing downtime from minor spills.

Questions about this item

Will the onboard DDR4 memory need an upgrade later?

The 16 GB DDR4 is soldered to the board, so it cannot be expanded or replaced by the user.

What limits performance during long rendering sessions?
