Convertible notebook with pen support

The HP EliteBook x360 1040 G5 G6 is a 13.3-inch 2-in-1 laptop built around an 8th Generation Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor. It ships with 16 GB of onboard DDR42133 memory and a 512 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed.

Touch display protected by Gorilla Glass

The 13.3-inch FHD IPS panel resolves 1920 x 1080 pixels and supports ten-point touch input. Corning Gorilla Glass covers the BrightView UWVA surface for scratch resistance. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 drives the panel and external monitors via HDMI or USB-C.

Soldered memory limits future upgrades

RAM is soldered to the board so capacity cannot be increased after purchase. The 512 GB M.2 SSD is the only user-replaceable core component. Thunderbolt ports share bandwidth with DisplayPort alt-mode; driving two 4K screens may require a dock with its own controller.
