The HPE Networking Instant On AP22D is a dual-radio indoor access point built for small businesses that need Wi-Fi 6 performance. It delivers up to 1.7 Gbps aggregate wireless throughput using 2x2 MIMO on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.

2.5 GbE uplink and PoE downlink ports

A single 2.5 GbE Base-T PoE uplink handles data and power over existing Cat5/6(a) cabling. Four 1 GbE downlink ports include two that supply up to 15 W each of 802.3af PoE for devices such as IP phones or cameras. A Kensington security slot and DC power connector provide mounting flexibility and an alternative power option.

PoE input options and thermal design

The unit accepts 802.3bt Class 6 PoE for full functionality or 802.3at Class 4 PoE with limited features, plus 48 V DC input. Maximum transmit power reaches 21 dBm on 5 GHz and 20 dBm on 2.4 GHz with antenna gains of 5.4 dBi and 5.2 dBi respectively. LED indicators and a reset button allow quick status checks without additional software.
