Secure portable storage

The iStorage diskAshur PRO2 is a 1TB portable hard drive built around a hardware-encrypted design. It targets professionals and organisations that must keep sensitive data protected while moving files between devices. A built-in keypad handles authentication without any software installation.

USB 3.1 integration

The drive connects through a standard USB 3.1 port and draws power from the host, so it needs no external adapter. Its IP56-rated enclosure resists dust and water, freeing users from carrying a separate rugged case. Compatibility spans Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Chrome, thin clients and embedded systems.

Sustained transfer rates

Sequential reads reach 361 MB/s and writes reach 358 MB/s over USB 3.2, maintaining those speeds across large transfers rather than only in short bursts. The AES-XTS 256-bit engine encrypts data in real time without throttling throughput. After repeated failed PIN entries the drive enters a deadlock frozen state to block automated attacks.

Questions about this item

How long can I transfer data at the 361 MB/s read speed before the drive slows down?

The drive delivers up to 361 MB/s read and 358 MB/s write over USB 3.2; sustained throughput will depend on the host system and file sizes.

Does the drive get hot or loud when I leave it plugged in all day?

The unit has no fan and uses a 2.5" mechanical drive inside an IP56-sealed graphite enclosure; it runs silently and stays cool to the touch during typical all-day use.

What do I need on my computer before the diskAshur PRO2 will work?

Any device with a USB port — Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Chrome, thin clients or embedded systems — no software or drivers required.
