A bi-directional DisplayPort 1.4 switch toggles between two sources on one display or sends one source to two displays, supporting 8K at 30 Hz, 4K at 120 Hz and 1080p at 240 Hz with audio pass-through
This Jansicotek switch lets you connect two DisplayPort sources to one display or one source to two displays. It supports 8K at 30 Hz, 4K at 120 Hz and 1080p at 240 Hz over a 32.4 Gbps link. The unit is aimed at users who need to share a single high-resolution monitor between a PC and a laptop or console without unplugging cables.
The device has no fan and draws power from an included USB-C cable, so it adds no audible noise to a quiet workstation. Typical draw is low enough for a standard USB port on a monitor or PC. An LED indicator shows the active channel, and a single button toggles between inputs instantly.
Two female DisplayPort sockets and a USB-C power port fit in a small enclosure that sits behind a monitor stand. The package includes the switch, a USB-C charging cable and a manual. It does not support VR headsets such as Valve Index or Xbox consoles. Buyers who need simultaneous output to two screens or automatic switching should look elsewhere.

Connect each source to the two DisplayPort inputs and the display to the single output, then plug the USB-C power cable into a 5 V supply; the step often missed is powering the switch before expecting a signal.
No routine maintenance is required; if the USB-C power cable or the manual button becomes faulty, replace the cable or the whole unit.
The 32.4 Gbps bandwidth ceiling is reached first, so sustained 4K 120 Hz works but any higher resolution or refresh rate would exceed the link capacity.
