Connects an HDMI 2.0 source to a DisplayPort 1.4 display at 4K 60 Hz or 1080p 120 Hz with USB power for signal stability
This active adapter converts an HDMI 2.0 source signal to a DisplayPort 1.4 input on a monitor. It is intended for users who need to connect a computer, console or media player with an HDMI output to a display that only accepts DisplayPort. The device does not work in the reverse direction.
The adapter passes video at up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz or 1920 x 1080 at 120 Hz. HDCP 2.2 content protection is supported so protected streams can play correctly. Buyers whose display requires a higher refresh rate at 4K or a different colour depth cannot be accommodated by this unit.
A USB connection supplies auxiliary power to stabilise the signal conversion during extended sessions. No separate power brick is needed. The USB port does not carry video and the adapter is not suitable for setups that lack an available USB socket for this purpose.

The adapter delivers 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz to a DisplayPort monitor when the source outputs HDMI 2.0.
Yes, the HDMI 2.0 source caps the link at 4K 60 Hz; the DP 1.4 port simply passes that signal without adding bandwidth.
The USB connector supplies extra voltage to keep the active conversion stable; plug it into any standard USB-A port on the host device.
