This Jansicotek OZV8-1 unit takes one HDMI input and provides one HDMI output plus optical Toslink and 3.5 mm analogue audio outputs. It is built for users who need to separate sound from a 4K video source for a soundbar, AV receiver or powered speakers. The aluminium shell houses an HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 compliant pathway with HDR10 support.

Bandwidth and format limits

The extractor passes video up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz within an 18 Gbps bandwidth ceiling and a 600 MHz pixel clock. Deep-colour formats up to 36 bit are supported, but Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby Atmos bitstreams are not decoded or passed through the SPDIF port. Input cables up to 10 m AWG26 are specified for reliable operation.

Capacity and headroom

The SPDIF output carries DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD, LPCM 7.1, DTS 5.1 and Dolby AC-3, while the 3.5 mm jack is limited to two-channel PCM stereo. EDID switching lets you select 2.1 CH, 5.1 CH or pass-through modes to match the connected audio device. A 5 V 1 A power adapter is required and included.
