The Jansicotek OZV8C takes a single HDMI input and splits it into one HDMI video output plus separate optical Toslink SPDIF and 3.5 mm stereo audio outputs. It is built for users who need to send sound from a console, Blu-ray player or streaming device to a soundbar, amplifier or headphones while keeping the picture on a TV or monitor.

Build integration and connectivity

The unit requires a 5 V power adaptor, which is included, and fits into a chain between the source and the display using standard HDMI cables up to 32.8 ft on each side. It frees the system from relying on a TV’s internal speakers or limited audio outputs by providing both digital and analogue paths simultaneously. Three EDID modes — TV, 2.0 CH and 5.1 CH — let the installer match the downstream audio device without re-cabling.
