15.6" 144Hz display for gaming

The Lenovo LOQ 15 is a gaming laptop built around a 15.6 inch full HD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. It runs on an Intel Core i7-13650HX 14-core processor paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 laptop GPU carrying 8 GB GDDR7 memory. The system includes 16 GB DDR5 memory and a 512 GB PCIe SSD, all driven by Windows 11 Home. Connectivity covers Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, with a 720p webcam and backlit keyboard included.

Suits mobile gamers; not for storage-heavy workflows

This configuration suits players who want smooth frame rates on a fast 144Hz panel without carrying a bulky desktop replacement. The 16 GB memory and 512 GB SSD handle current titles and everyday multitasking, while the port selection includes USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with DisplayPort and USB PD, three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and HDMI 2.1. Buyers who need more storage or memory for large media libraries or virtual machines should look at a different configuration.

RTX 5050 8 GB GDDR7 graphics

The single specification that decides fit is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 laptop GPU with 8 GB GDDR7 video memory. It determines which games run at high settings on the 1920 x 1080 144Hz display and whether the laptop meets a buyer's performance target. The 14-core i7-13650HX processor and 16 GB DDR5 system memory support the GPU, but the graphics chip itself is the limiting factor for gaming capability.

Questions about this item

What is included in the box and what must be purchased separately?

The laptop ships with a 15.6" 144Hz display, Intel Core i7-13650HX processor, RTX 5050 8GB GDDR7 graphics, 32GB DDR5 memory, 4TB PCIe SSD, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, Windows 11 Pro, power adapter, backlit keyboard, webcam and audio. No SD card reader is built in.

Which configuration should I choose between the listed memory and storage options?

This unit comes configured with 32GB DDR5 memory and a 4TB PCIe SSD. The original 16GB and 512GB specification has been upgraded before dispatch, so there is no smaller option to select.

What does the 144Hz figure mean for actual gaming on this machine?

The 15.6" 1920 x 1080 panel refreshes at 144Hz, so motion in fast-paced titles stays smooth when the RTX 5050 8GB GDDR7 GPU can push frame rates that high.
