Built for competitive gaming and creative work

The Lenovo Legion 5i 15 pairs an Intel Core i7-14700HX with 20 cores and 28 threads with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 8 GB GPU. A 15.1" WQXGA OLED panel runs at 165 Hz and 2560x1600 resolution. The system ships with 16 GB memory and a 512 GB PCIe SSD under Windows 11 Home.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Gamers who want high frame rates on a colour-accurate OLED screen and creators who need 20-core CPU throughput for rendering or encoding will find the hardware matches those workloads. Buyers who need more than 16 GB memory or more than 512 GB storage out of the box should look at other configurations.

The spec that decides fit

The 15.1" 165 Hz OLED display locks in the visual experience; if your workflow depends on a different panel type, refresh rate or aspect ratio, this laptop will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

What display standard does the 15.1" OLED panel use and what refresh rate does it cap at?

The 15.1" WQXGA (2560x1600) OLED panel runs at 165Hz, so the practical refresh ceiling is 165 frames per second.

What are the exact dimensions and weight I need to clear for a sleeve or backpack?

The chassis measures 13.58 x 10.05 x 0.85 inches and weighs 4.4 pounds, so any sleeve or compartment must exceed those figures.

How is the operating system installed and what step do buyers often miss?

Windows 11 Home ships pre-installed; the step buyers miss is completing the out-of-box experience and running the first Windows Update before installing games.
