Compact business desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q is a micro-form-factor desktop built around an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor reaching 4.10 GHz. It ships with 8 GB DDR4 memory, a 128 GB M.2 SSD for the operating system and a 1 TB hard drive for bulk storage. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Included peripherals and connectivity

A USB keyboard and mouse are supplied in the box so the system is ready to use on arrival. A USB Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dongle provides 5 GHz-capable wireless connectivity where internal Wi-Fi is not fitted. A DVD-ROM drive handles legacy media and software installation without external hardware.

Micro chassis practicality

The tiny black case fits behind a monitor or on a crowded desk while keeping ports accessible for daily peripheral changes. The 65 W processor stays cool within the small enclosure without demanding extra clearance. Dual-drive layout separates fast boot performance from high-capacity file storage in one sealed unit.

Questions about this item

Can the 8 GB DDR4 memory be upgraded beyond the installed capacity?

The system supports DDR4 memory technology up to 32 GB, so the installed 8 GB can be increased by adding compatible modules.

What thermal or power ceiling will the Intel Core i5-8500 hit during continuous workloads?

The processor has a 65 W power rating and a maximum turbo frequency of 4.1 GHz, which defines its sustained thermal and power limit.

How loud does the tiny chassis get when the system runs all day?

The compact micro form factor uses the 65 W Intel Core i5-8500 and integrated Intel UHD Graphics, so fan noise stays low during typical business workloads.
